I have always said it'd just take the KSA committing publicly and/or to the PL to crack down on the piracy (should be easy to do seeing as they're surely responsible for it). Say the right things, so the PL can make a show of reassuring their broadcast partners, take the money, and everyone gets what they want.

...There is but it's going to mostly be about scheduling the transfer window. The Premier League board is the 20 club chief execs + Richard Masters (plus presumably some other Premier League bods). They're not involved in approving the takeover.

After seeing the SSN interview with Richard Masters, I think any announcement (good or bad) is a very long way off.

I mean, one way or the other they'll have to make a decision, and I'd imagine there are even timelines in the PL policy regarding how fast they have to - what with so much money held up mid-process. Plus, at some point there'll be no more information coming in. They can skate by dragging their feat and maybe making requests of the prospective owneship group, but I'd be pretty shocked if it dragged into July.
