The wankfest is as bad as I expected, the fact they have won the title at the end of june has just been used as an example of them "breaking records". What next, the record for the only team to win the PL during a global pandemic.

Earlier sky had warnock explaining what pressing is and going like liverpool and klopp invented it and how they are the only team that can pull it off.

Oh and apparently TAA is the only player in the league that can play as a Rb, Rwb, or as a right winger.

To be fair, he is good, and I struggle to name others in the league who should play both (maybe Ryan Sessegnon, but he doesn't even play for Spurs and is on the left). Maybe one of the many expensive fullbacks at City, though none would be worth playing there compared to their wingers.

I think most wing backs in the clubs that use them could play all 3 roles. Moussa Sissoko can even play all 3 roles.

Lazaro could, but I think being first choice is kinda critical to the original point being made (I do hope we see him get more minutes before the season is out). It also wasn't long ago that people strongly criticised Ritchie when played at LB.

As for Sissoko in the previous post, that a player could play all the roles, and should, are two different things.

Well lots of players could play both roles but not many can do it as well

Defensively I'd put Wan Bissaka well ahead of Trent, hes just not as good attacking.

Yeah he's miles better defensively, Trent is not a good defender at all.

Doesn't really need to be for them either. Best defence is a good offence tends to apply to them. Especially once they finally got a good keeper and CB.

So it begins. Obviously its fully deserved but this is going to be framed like its the greatest ever title win, Sky Sports already have a conference call full of ex liverpool.

The ‘30 years of hurt’ line is a bit rich for a club who’ve won almost 20 trophies in that time alone.

I don't think it's close right now but I think Reece James has more potential than TAA at the moment. He's a more rounded player even if he isn't anywhere near as effective going forward as TAA right now.

TAA clearly has the potential versatility to play elsewhere on the pitch. Whether it be further forward or in the centre of midfield. I think if Liverpool had more options at RB we may have already seen a transition. As it stands currently though, he's definitely the first choice RB for England for me. I think TAA has a clear weakness defensively. He gets away with it for Liverpool but his positioning is horrendous and he's struggled for England a couple of times. It wouldn't surprise me if he moves further forward as technically he could play anywhere. Although the question is whether he'd find the space further up the field. As things stand the defenders and midfielders are largely occupied with the Liverpool attacking players so he gets more space to deliver his crosses and play his passes. If he's playing CM or RW then he'd likely be marked a lot tighter.
