Did I read somewhere that ASM isn’t likely to play tomorrow? Have a vague recollection of Bruce saying he would rest him.

He said that before the Bournemouth game but then he played, but I'd rest him for this one as we're on a hiding to nothing anyway.seatonsluicetoon wrote: ↑Tue Jul 07, 2020 9:12 amDid I read somewhere that ASM isn’t likely to play tomorrow? It’s him or Foden for my fantasy team. Someone has to get benched...Bodacious Benny wrote: ↑Tue Jul 07, 2020 9:30 amHe said that before the Bournemouth game but then he played, but I'd rest him for this one as we're on a hiding to nothing anyway.seatonsluicetoon wrote: ↑Tue Jul 07, 2020 9:12 amDid I read somewhere that ASM isn’t likely to play tomorrow? Saw a few 'articles' yesterday claiming ASM is injured and will miss 2 to 3 weeks.seatonsluicetoon wrote: ↑Tue Jul 07, 2020 9:12 amDid I read somewhere that ASM isn’t likely to play tomorrow? Have a vague recollection of Bruce saying he would rest him.

The next manager up is Steve Bruce to preview Newcastle's trip to Manchester City.
He starts with an injury update, confirming a number of players picked up knocks during Sunday's draw against West Ham.
They include Miguel Almiron and Allan Saint-Maximin, who Bruce says are "struggling" to be fit for Wednesday's game.
Striker Andy Carroll also picked up a groin strain, while captain Jamaal Lascelles is nursing an ankle injury.

Would be interesting to see Lazaro start.
If Ritchie isn't fit does Atsu start?

Norwich as good as down. That 3-2 win against City seems a lifetime ago now.

Re: MIDWEEK FOOTBALL - 7/9 JULY 2020
So does everyone getting excited about Pukki. He's scored 11 goals this season which isn't bad at all, but 6 of them were scored by the 14th September.
Kindly deeds done for free!

Todd Cantwell seems the most attractive player, with the benefit of the whole season. Especially given him only being 22.biggeordiedave wrote: ↑Wed Jul 08, 2020 3:16 pmSo does everyone getting excited about Pukki.
