Re: Match day thread: Brighton v Newcastle
This has been a pretty drab watch so far. Smacks of 2 teams who know they are safe and don't have a lot to play for.
There is no sin except stupidity.

Fortunately, for me anyway, I've mistakenly been wearing my new Toon face mask over my eyes!

This 4-4-1-1 just doesnt work for us at all, what happened to the 4-2-3-1 that was looking promising. For me it seems kinda shoehorned for Ritchie.

How any journalist is going to be able to write any more than this in their match report is beyond me.overseasTOON wrote: ↑Mon Jul 20, 2020 5:42 pmWe passed the ball about a bit. They passed the ball about a bit.

It's like watching two mates play FIFA who don't know how to play FIFA.

Injury time was the best 4 mins of the match.
Two unimaginative teams in 0-0 at HT shocker.

"The game finished 0-0, meaning neither team was able to score a goal - that is, neither team put the ball in the net. In fact, no individual player scored either, meaning no player was able to score a goal individually..."Crouching Shola Hidden Talent wrote: ↑Mon Jul 20, 2020 5:45 pmHow any journalist is going to be able to write any more than this in their match report is beyond me.overseasTOON wrote: ↑Mon Jul 20, 2020 5:42 pm

I missed the first ten minutes or so watching the end of the cricket. Judging by the rest of the half it would appear I was lucky.

England won by 113 runs. Was a great days cricket, England bowled really well. So 1 all in the series and cannot wait for the decider.overseasTOON wrote: ↑Mon Jul 20, 2020 6:13 pmWhat happened in the cricket?Donkey Toon wrote: ↑Mon Jul 20, 2020 6:02 pmI missed the first ten minutes or so watching the end of the cricket. Re: Match day thread: Brighton v Newcastle
So Watts was a striker with a hat-trick under his belt. Why is it we have defenders that are better at scoring goals than our forwards?
