In fairness, will Almiron offer any less than Shelvey defensively?

Almiron is not a CM. He won't come deep to collect the ball like Jonjo. It won't happen. Move on.

Re: The Callum Wilson Thread
I could see him going wherever necessary to get the ball, but it'd be a huge waste of what he does best, which is run with it in the open field on the break.Captain Obvious wrote: ↑Wed Sep 09, 2020 10:42 pmAlmiron is not a CM. I'd see that as a pro to be honest...Captain Obvious wrote: ↑Wed Sep 09, 2020 10:42 pmAlmiron is not a CM. He won't come deep to collect the ball like Jonjo. It won't happen. Move on.

I think he could thrive in a 10 role this year, and i honestly wouldn't mind seeing Miggy playing deeper as a CM,

That lineup bleeds black and white. Do you think I could say that in an interview?

Did Wilson play in any of Bournemouth’s pre season games? If not it’s unlikely he’ll start tomorrow but should see him off the bench when Carroll gets injured.

They only played 2 and he definitely didn't feature in the 2nd. Couldn't find any teams for the first but with the short break I think you can get fit enough without the need for games. I think he starts, myself. Especially with that record v West Ham and the likely need for pace on the counter.

Re: The Callum Wilson Thread
Yeah good point about the short break so could be okay to start and play for an hour. ASM tore them to shreds last season at their place with his pace on the counter so hopefully we can hit them again.Captain Obvious wrote: ↑Fri Sep 11, 2020 9:18 amThey only played 2 and he definitely didn't feature in the 2nd. I think Wilson will be starting, I think he has to really. I'm excited to see him play. This is what I'd like/expect to see.
The front three behind Wilson can probably mix around really, be good to see what Joelinton could do in his preferred position with a proper striker ahead of him. I don't see Fraser starting because he's had no football at all for six months. I can see him coming off the bench, though. Apparently, Shelvey not fully fit and may not start, so put Hendrick in there.

Yeah doesn’t look bad. Long term Fraser > Joelinton for sure though.
