Great show, the best live band I’ve seen. They did some stuff from their most recent albums (Drones, great album and Simulation Theory) plus stuff from the back catalogue like Supermassive Black Hole, Knights of Cydonia etc.
They’re in Manchester tomorrow night so might see if I can pick up a cheap ticket on Twitter.

I went off muse the album they decided to sample alot of classical music, of too OTT (and Matt Bellamy's conspiracy theory fascination isn't for me).
How we I've seen them live and they really do some entertaining things with visuals, it's a good show.

Loved listening to Muse as a kid (In Your World, Citizen Erased, Hysteria, Sunburn etc. etc.) but I have to say the writing was on the wall for me when I heard Supermassive Black Hole...it sounded like a Madonna / Britney Spears song. Can't listen to anything on The Resistance and beyond...they definitely aren't my cup of tea now. Like Coldplay, they've definitely chased the mainstream pop label since music consumption habits have changed.Bodacious Benny wrote: ↑Fri Jun 07, 2019 9:15 amGreat show, the best live band I’ve seen. Re: The Music Lounge
I’m listening to my favorite soundtrack from the series "Big Little Lie". Cold Little Heart - Michael Kiwanuka. I just love this song. When I hear it, I immediately relax, disconnect from the outside world and are morally transported to the coast of Australia. I don't know how it works, before that no soundtrack from the movie or series affected me like that. Sometimes I want to watch this series again just because every series starts with this song.

The only song that affects me is when I hear "I don't want to miss a thing" by Aerosmith...it was my first dance for my wedding in 2009, got divorced in 2019 (a reasonable run) so that just reminds me of my Ex so I switch it off as quickly as I can

Re-listening to International Velvet by Catatonia - great album! Takes me back to my teenage years. Some fantastic bands came out of Wales in the 1990s!

I got dumped to "Two outta three ain't bad" by Meatloaf and ever since then I've truly hated anything by him as it reminds me of her - even 30+ years later.
Given that its been that long, I can't even remember her name but the bile and vitriol still rises whenever I hear that bastard sing.
