Ball was dead, goes back to the first offence which was the offside.Bodacious Benny wrote: ↑Sat Oct 17, 2020 11:40 amHow on earth is that not a booking at least for Pickford

Surely an off the ground two footer that injures the other player is worthy of something regardless of when it happens .Colly wrote: ↑Sat Oct 17, 2020 11:51 amBall was dead, goes back to the first offence which was the offside.Bodacious Benny wrote: ↑Sat Oct 17, 2020 11:40 amHow on earth is that not a booking at least for Pickford

Yeah apparently that’s the rule, no yellow/red because it was offside. That rule is ridiculous, you can do a challenge like that and get away with it on a technicality.Colly wrote: ↑Sat Oct 17, 2020 11:51 amBall was dead, goes back to the first offence which was the offside.Bodacious Benny wrote: ↑Sat Oct 17, 2020 11:40 amHow on earth is that not a booking at least for Pickford

They are but Peter Walton is known for being a f***ing idiot. Our hero Dale Johnson disagrees.

Been a decent game, Everton should have finished with 9.

Wow how lucky is Pickford! Should have been sent off and the most marginal offside goal disallowed after his cock-up!

My Everton supporting mother in law reckons Everton were unlucky not to win.

Throws a spanner in the works, don't wish injury on anyone, especially one as bad as that but it mixes things up!

Re: Weekend Football 17/10 to 19/10
They don't have strong cover in defence either. Joe Gomez and Joel Matip obviously the senior centrebacks now. Only have Sepp van den Burg (18) and Nathanial Phillips (23) as cover currently. They signed VDB last summer, not sure if they see him as ready yet but had the odd appearance. Phillips has played for them once, but has mostly been in the u23's squad since they got him from Bolton. Contract up in the summer. Depending on how long Allison is out for as well, I can see Liverpool having a bit of a wobble. That attack is still sensational, so they will probably go back to that mega pressing score three in the first half kind of tactic.

Gomez is still young and will clearly improve, but as he is now I don’t think he’s anything special at all. Would pick someone like Tarkowski ahead of him in terms of centre back ability all day long. Could probably easily name 10-15 PL CBs who are easily better.
