Keep it tight and bring on Miggy and Fraser in the second half to try and get an equaliser.originallad wrote: ↑Sat Oct 17, 2020 7:37 pmJust got cut open to **** there! Wtf are we playing at!!

When we get the ball we have no outlet, except for the player on the ball to run with it like a headless chicken, which only ASM has any chance of getting away with. Clueless!

Re: Match day thread: Newcastle v Man U
I hate that it's not as if opposing teams wrestle away possession and takeover matches from us. We just seem to concede it from kick-off and presume we're incapable of playing with them. Which is maybe sometimes true, but make them work for it at least!Donkey Toon wrote: ↑Sat Oct 17, 2020 7:43 pmWhen we get the ball we have no outlet, except for the player on the ball to run with it like a headless chicken, which only ASM has any chance of getting away with. How do we have ad boards for 3 different betting companies? You'd think Fun88 would be getting some exclusivity with their deal.

So many misplaced passes. Defence so open. Not a great half.

67% passing accuracy is very poor for a PL team but for all their possession they’ve not had many clear cut chances.

Good job Shaw scored for us because no f***er in black and white was going to do it that half.

Midfield is far too compact and static, feels like hayden shelvey and hendrick are all fighting for the same spot at times, need to take one of them off for almiron or fraser, push asm out right to run at Shaw. Joelinton central, Almiron on the left.

I'd take Joelinton or Hendrick off and put Fraser on.

This and this. Hayden shouldn't be playing on the right flank when we have genuine options that are better suited to that position. I can't fathom why Fraser isn't starting now. I get that he wasn't match fit, but he started for Scotland the other day, got a goal as well. Started in the league cup for us, and lo and behold, did alright. He's arguably the best option we have in that position, and that's without factoring in the hope of the Fraser/Wilson partnership being revisited.

Joelinton has been pretty anonymous so defo Fraser or almiron for him.
