Re: Match thread: Newcastle v Everton
If only Pickford had been playing he’d have charged off his line, wiped out ASM, been sent off and given us a penalty.
I'm the scumbag outlaw. You're the pillar of justice. Neither of us like looking at ourselves in the mirror. Do we have a deal?

Lucky Pickford wasn't playing St Max would be out for the season
I'll Hazard a guess
Re: Match thread: Newcastle v Everton
Darlow’s distribution is so ropey. Good keeper when it comes to saves but invites pressure with some of his clearances.
ASM doesn’t look anywhere near as dangerous in this free role. Much prefer him off the left wing. That said we look much more defensively balanced like this (esp without Shelvey). Need Hendrick + Longstaff (and Schär) to control the ball a bit better and start creating more. Fernandez and Almiron the pick of the bunch for us so far IMO.

I'm glad I'm not watching this. Sounds like a shocking game.
Re: Match thread: Newcastle v Everton
I think it's just the basic move of dropping Longstaff back alongside Hendrick and playing ASM and Almiron either side of Wilson. We're playing attacking fullbacks so we don't need Longstaff and Almiron as pseudo wingers.
ASM needs to be less wasteful though, I cringe any time he uses the outside of his boot when a simple pass could have us away.

If the keeper had a smaller face.

ASM is driving me mental. So good but so wasteful when we have players up.

Looked like he just hit it on instinct (without looking up) and just happened to hit the keeper. Arguably yes should've scored but only on the basis of percentages.

Tell you what, having an actual goal scorer is making a huge difference.
