I honestly can not work out how we have managed to accumulate 18 points.

Absolute disgrace. This ‘preparation’ of stringing 20 passes together while we wait for something to miraculously happen further up the pitch – knocking it around the back 5 only to hoof it up and lose possession. It’s killing me and it makes it worse that the likes of Sutton and Savage will say we’re doing great under Bruce.

From all accounts; toothless in attack once again.

Reasonable summary though doesn't cover the fact the midfield was also s****.

What midfield? Our midfield play where our defence should play and our defence hold Darlow's hand.

We won’t get another point now for 5 games. Only 8 points above relegation. We’ll defo be relegated with this waste of skin in charge.

Horrendous, some of the players don’t even look fit.
Bossed by ten men.
Absolute garbage performance
This. Fulham were there for the taking after going a man down but instead we still decide to play with no energy, no pace, no creativity, no urgency, sideways, backwards, put a piss poor cross here and there or a long ball and hope for the best.. bruceball at it's finest.. Nearly 30 mins with a man down and we can't capitalize. The center of midfield is awful.. we need a proper mobile technical midfielder. Longstaff was so bad, awful passing, no pace, sloppy, sluggish and no tactical awareness/footballing IQ. Should have accepted that 30 million bid from United when we had the chance and the less said about Shelvey the better, we need a whole need centre midfield if we're aiming to ever reach the next level.. Fulham could have even won it at the end. There midfield looked strong, technical and fit with Lemina and Anguissa. Wilson looked like our best player today with his strength and movement. Ritchie was dreadful for most parts.. Dummet may be OK defensively but we need more going forward.. get Jetro in asap!!! Miggy tried and tried but apart from that pass to Wilson he looked like a headless chicken. Yedlin was mainly s*** too.. I don't know weather it's down to fitness, Bruce, Covid or a combination of all but we looked poor, we never really proper went all out attack after they went 10 man down and that's so disappointing. I expected 6 points from those crucial 3 games (Brom, Leeds & Fulham) but instead we get 4 when this would have put us in 20 points.. I seriously hope this doesn't come back and bite us. <urgh> <erk>

2 points dropped and next three games if we even get a point out of any of them that would be a bonus. Things need to change.. Bruce, players, etc.. we should have pressured so much and thrown the kitchen sink at them but instead we ended on a limp. We need to win at Brentford to save our season.. I have a feeling we are going to be dragged in a relegation battle sooner rather than later. Lacking in everything.. no pace, no heart, no fight, no urgency, no tactics & no ambition. Resembles the manager we have now. #BruceOut

He was comfortably our best player tonight. Probably made more tackles than the rest of our team combined.

We're also 8 points from 2nd. We are playing horribly but there's no way we're going down this season. Somehow.

Scott Parker is complaining about the game changing in regards to the penalty, without VAR that's a penalty and a red card all day.

I think his point is that if you're going to have VAR it should probably work, I thought that penalty was incredibly harsh. It's definitely a red regardless of whether it's a second yellow or straight red, but I still can't see any foul in the area.

He did kick his foot right on the line to be fair. It's minimal, it's soft as s**** but unfortunately it's how football has gone. 'Contact = foul' which really is pathetic.

I've seen it four times now and I can't say he's touched him, but then from VARs perspective because it's inconclusive it's not a clear and obvious error so the on field decision stands. The refs decided either he was right first time, or that the replay doesn't change his mind, but it's insanely harsh.

Well I must have been watching a different game.. I thought Wilson was our best player. Tackling / interceptions should be the norm for a box-to-box midfielder but there was so many times he lost possession & he looked sluggish throughout I dunno weather it's fatigue or a poor day at the office but I don't think he is the long-term solution to our midfield problems. We haven't had a quality CM since the days of Cabaye/Tiote.. I thought Mikel Merino had potential to be that but he was homesick and never really settled but he's doing really well in Spain with Real Sociedad who are currently 2nd in La Liga. We need to buy as mentioned a technical, strong, athletic & mobile box-to-box midfielder.. someone like a Moussa Dembele (Tottenham days) to boss games in the middle of the park& to take the game by the scruff of the neck. We don't have that in the team right now.. we have a average & inconsistent box-to-box CM in Longstaff who has the odd game here and there but has never gone back to the form that made Man United interested a couple years back, I don't know about Hendrick in the middle as he hasn't really played there but he's hard-working and solid but doesn't do anything really good or really bad he's bang average, a midfielder who's lazy and can have the odd good game every 1 in 5 with his hopeful Hollywood passes which when they do come of do look good but most of the times it doesn't in Shelvey and then we have a tough-tackling real solid defensive mid in Hayden but who's limited in terms of actual midfield play (assisting, scoring, creativity, vision, passing, technique).

We need to look to invest in that area crucially weather it be Jan or next summer.. A LB is much needed too. Dummet is solid defensively but too limited going forward.. Lewis has potential but too inexperienced and raw right now. Jetroooo comeee back home! <urgh> <awe>

Can anyone remember the last time Shelvey hit the target with a free kick? He's built up as a specialist but they're always high and wide.

Longstaff was tidy enough tonight and he won a lot of tackles. To say that's the norm isn't fair at all. Our mentality is the biggest problem, we just sit too deep and are too passive.

Merino is a brilliant player, it's a shame he didn't settle.

Not sure we need a LB, how many can we have? We've just signed a young one in Lewis and we've got Dummett as an experienced option.

No idea but I'd rather see Ciaran Clark standing over one than Shelvey.

Can't argue with that. Don't get me wrong, Longstaff has the potential to be very good & he showed his class back a couple years ago when he burst into the scene with Rafa and produced a very solid partnership with Hayden, didn't we go like 8 games unbeaten with that duo? But since that injury with his knee ligament his performances have been inconsistent and hasn't been the same player but he's still 23 so loads of time for improvement / development to fulfill his potential. Being managed by someone like Bruce doesn't exactly help.. a manager with a more positive attacking and expansive playing style would suit Longstaff more. <ok>

Fraser Miggy ASM
Wilson

That attack on form is top half material.. <awe>
