Re: Match Thread: Newcastle v Liverpool
Reassured to check in here tonight and see everyone felt as positive as I did about that. Which isn't meant as a criticism of people, I just wondered if I was out of my mind to think it was actually a solid performance. I appreciated that we actually pressured the ball more in the first half than usual, and unfortunately seemed to wear down in the second.
Agree with a few other people that thought Yedlin and Schar were the standouts from the backline, and that the midfield and forwards deserve credit for how hard they at least worked. I'll never criticise Ritchie for his effort, and definitely thought his contributions in his first seasons for us were underrated, but I still think he's played out of position at LB/LWB. He just seems too uncomfortable as a defender to close down players in and on the edge of our box.

Harry Palmer used to live near me. He’s not all there to be fair but some of his songs are pretty funny

On Yedlin, that was as good a game as I recall from him.
I'm the scumbag outlaw. You're the pillar of justice. Neither of us like looking at ourselves in the mirror. Do we have a deal?

Sounds like you've gotten upset about "snowflakes" getting upset. But don't worry, I'm not upset about you being upset about them being upset, so the circle of unnecessary concern about an admittedly stupid lyric glorifying Geordies hitting their wives has ended.gola wrote: ↑Fri Jan 01, 2021 12:30 pmexactly just another example of snowflakes gettin all upset over nothing. taking things out of context and not doing their researchoriginallad wrote: ↑Thu Dec 31, 2020 4:05 pm

In a long time for sure. I've thought he's had some decent spells (I think early last season too maybe?), but it's usually never long before he's got a niggling injury again and he loses whatever form he'd found.Bodacious Benny wrote: ↑Fri Jan 01, 2021 1:58 pmOn Yedlin, that was as good a game as I recall from him.
