So sad, the sound of F1
Re: The F1 Thread
Pumped for the new season. Red Bull look up there with Merc, plus McLaren, Aston Martin, Alpine and Ferrari not far behind. Should be a good one...

Re: The F1 Thread
FP1 gets underway in an hours time. We won't really know until qually if other teams have closed the gap to Merc a bit, or if Merc are just hiding their true pace as they've done previously and unleash it in Q2/Q3.

Verstappen, Bottas, Norris the first 3 in FP1, like these hour long practice sessions as always people on track.

Re: The F1 Thread
The sport i love is back this weekend as well Moto GP, the reason I'm posting this here is that Moto GP have lost one of the best team managers to grace Moto GP to Formula 1.
Davide Brivio has jumped ship to the Alpine F1 Team from Suzuki where he led them for the first time in 20 years to 1st and 3rd in the riders championship whilst also securing the team's title for the first time with a factory team nowhere near as rich and powerful as the likes of Ducati, Honda, KTM or Yamaha.
Would be interesting to hear what you guys think as i'm not really a fan of the pit stop championship as i'm a fan of close racing and overtaking it would be nice if he did well as he's a talented person as well as being a nice guy.

Max on pole! Could we be set for an actual competitive season?
Re: The F1 Thread
Great race! Brilliant result for Hamilton, got away with one there with Verstappen’s out-of-track-limits overtake...

Fantastic racing by Hamilton and Verstappen, Hamilton showing to the many haters that he’s got exceptional race craft and not just dependent on having the best car. Hopefully we see racing like that all season.

That's the race for me that proves Hamilton is the greatest. Fantastic racecraft.

When I was younger I was always a Hamilton fan when he started at McLaren, but for the last umpteen years I’ve not been bothered in the slightest who wins - it’s all about having a close fight where entertainment and enjoyment comes from.
Norris and Perez excellent too - very promising start to the season (unless you drive a Haas).

Harsh. Mazepin made it round 2 more corners than expected.Bodacious Benny wrote: ↑Sun Mar 28, 2021 8:31 pmWhen I was younger I was always a Hamilton fan when he started at McLaren, but for the last umpteen years I’ve not been bothered in the slightest who wins - it’s all about having a close fight where entertainment and enjoyment comes from.

Nice to see Haas protect their drivers from any blame after the first race by saying the car is just too s*** to drive.

Field is looking a bit mixed up, drivers making mistakes, track looks cold, possible rain Sunday. Looking forward to it all.

Just seen qually, looks pretty tight at the front, hopefully a decent race.
Bottas crap again..p8 in a Merc is embarrassing.

Gutted for Norris most of all, but the grid is mixed up which should prove to be exciting.Bodacious Benny wrote: ↑Sat Apr 17, 2021 7:28 pmJust seen qually, looks pretty tight at the front, hopefully a decent race.

They were sure Bottas made a mistake in his 1st run but his 2nd proved he just doesn't have he pace, Lewis showing why he's great.
