Burnley can save both us and themselves by beating Fulham next Monday - looks like I'll be cheering on The Dingles!

Think it's only once in the past 10 years that a team has needed 40 points to stay up.

Fulham have got:

Burnley (h)
Southampton (a)
Man U (a)
Newcastle (h)

If we didn't pick up a single point for the rest of the season, they'd need to win 3 of those to overtake us on goal difference. Whilst on paper Burnley, Southampton and the game against us are all winnable, they've only won 5 games all season. I can see Burnley doing a job on them.

If the game wasn't against us, I'd be confident. I have that down as a guaranteed loss so Fulham just have to win 2 out of the next 3 to stay up (assuming we don't pick up anything else for the rest of the season).

It's not beyond the realms of possibility, but as they've only won 5 all season I'd still be surprised if they win win 2/3.

You'd hope that we beat Sheffield Utd too, if not then part of me would say Fulham deserve to stay up over us <laugh>

That’s assuming we don’t pick up any more points which means Fulham will be relegated if lose any of their remaining games.
