Darlow in next game surely. Woodman looks lightweight. Doesn’t come for crosses either.

He's been just shy of a disaster all season imo. What can you expect from a third (fourth?) choice keeper though

It’s impressive how with largely the same team, Bruce has taken us from having the 7th/8th best defence in the league under Rafa to arguably the worst.

Agree with this. Manchester United have looked relatively unimpressive today to my eye. Now you could argue they've only done what they had to but I do think there was a chance today. Not for us of course. But I'll be interested to see how they do next 5 games.

Yeah I'm pretty happy with 4-1. I said before the match that 4-0 would be a good result for us given the circumstances.
Kindly deeds done for free!

3 players clamouring for ronaldo's jersey just shows that the heart isn't in it. I thought there would be enough 'lesser' teams to keep us up this season, but between the defeatist attitude of bruce and the heartless performances from the squad, newcastle is going to go down.

I didn't even bother to watch the game but just seeing post and pre match comments tells it all.

Bruce supposedly had a full on meltdown in his interview after the game. Caused by Lee Ryder <laugh>

Yeah he described a question about him going on holiday as “typical of you and of your newspaper”! <laugh>

I missed the game today but that and “Geordies boys, on a bender/Cristiano, sex offender” gave me good laughs

Yeah he’s lost it, said that the paper was to blame for fans behaviour and expectations <laugh>

f*** me, if our expectations were any lower we’d be dining on the titanic. He seriously seems to think we expect to be fighting near the top of the league. No Steve, we want just a little bit more than aiming to finish 17th, to play moderately decent football, to show some fight (even in defeat) and to look like we have a bit of plan. We get none of that.

Interesting listening to post match Patrick Viera and players on the Palace double training sessions paying off. Not the players favourable pass time by any means but they buy in and admittedly reap rewards.

Incredible that such a simple commitment to professionalism is so lacking at Newcastle.

Chill out in Portugal and come back and slabber about not getting players in ffs.

It’s a flicking indictment on the tin pot attitude surrounding the management of team and wholesale club governance in general.

Newcastle United stand as a solid example of how inept if not negligent football club management brings the game into disrepute

Fit and proper eh ……. diabolical 🤬

Listening to his post match there were “many, many many positives”. Okay Steve.

In the Ryder interview (one question via zoom) he said that preparations were meticulous. Okay Steve.

We all know the real problem is Ashley, but Bruce is clearly absolutely clueless about literally everything.

Only seen the MOTD highlights but we conceded some poor goals there. First two Woodman could have done better, and how Fernandes was given so much space for the third is beyond me. Lingard's goal was excellent but the others weren't dealt with well.

Couple of wasteful chances for us too, Joelinton could have had a couple if Willock and Longstaff were awake.
