Re: The F1 Thread
Always said Sochi was good... gutted for Norris but as stated he should have been ordered to box. Epic drive from Max, and 100 wins for Lewis. Unbelievable.

Re: The F1 Thread
Yeah Hamilton showing that your write him off at your peril. Ham will probably still have to take an engine penalty at some point tho which could swing it back for Verstappen.

Re: The F1 Thread
Really entertaining race. Poor Lando. Hopefully he will learn from today
Re: The F1 Thread
Interesting but also if you read the small print the goal is only to reduce tailpipe emissions by 65% and then offset the rest... F1 should be pursuing hydrogen or electric or some other solution. Offsets are (largely, and with some caveats) ineffective.

I was quite surprised that Hammys progress didnt really come to much - he should have pitted sooner really. Couldn't have seen him making it to the end on those tyres

Re: The F1 Thread
The performance advantage swapping between Red Bull and Merc is really hard to predict. I was sure Merc were going to be way ahead this weekend but nope, Red Bull tweaks seem to have the upper hand. I do think Red Bull have got Merc in their pocket this season - they seem to come up with the goods every time Merc make an improvement

Great race. Max at risk of running away with it now though…

Re: The F1 Thread
Not sure I'd say running away with it, only 12.5 points ahead but I'd definitely make him favourite. I'd say it's still on a knife-edge as one moment of luck, misfortune, unreliability or one mistake could instantly flip it the other way.
I liked how Merc took the bull by the horns with their strategy and went aggressive, was ballsy and it paid off handsomely. Whoever ends up winning, it'll go down as a classic season.

Mega dusty in Mexico - Perez and Leclerc both broke their rear wings 10 mins into FP1.

That was absolutely epic from Hamilton, as good a drive as you’ll ever see.

Re: The F1 Thread
Spectacular. What a weekend, the pendulum swings again.
I dont know why Max wasnt investigated for running Hamilton off the track, especially since he went off himself. Sets a dangerous precedent imo.
