OT - how's things?overseasTOON wrote: ↑Sun Apr 03, 2022 12:50 amHad what seems to be an open wound on the inside of my thigh and never heals since July last year. I've put on a load of weight since lockdown and what started as chaffing/blister just won't f*** off and heal.
Finally had a GP appointment and scheduled now for a biopsy as GP thinks it's a tumour.

love tapas but yeh ur bang on. tho i wrent this restaurant fancy place other day in hove and it was gr8 food, vegan, but there were four of us and i easy cudve eaten everyones dishes and im nt even a fat f*** lolBodacious Benny wrote: ↑Sun Apr 10, 2022 7:42 amTapas.
Usually nice food, but I’m sure tapas must be code for “charge good money for tiny servings and make sure people still feel a bit hungry when they leave”. You literally need to spend double what you’d spend on a normal meal out to leave one of those places feeling remotely well fed.

"Tapas style" but not Spanish is worst for that. And I hate when places feel the need to laboriously explain "things will come when ready". Yes, we know its not 1993

So I've seen the specialist who has agreed it could well be a tumour and now awaiting another appointment which should be confirmed for this coming week at a hospital nearby so they can take a sample.Micky Quim wrote: ↑Sun Apr 10, 2022 8:15 amOT - how's things?overseasTOON wrote: ↑Sun Apr 03, 2022 12:50 amHad what seems to be an open wound on the inside of my thigh and never heals since July last year. I used to do some bespoke shifts at the same hospital 20 years ago as it's a cancer care specialist with certain wards for the terminally ill so made sure thier last few weeks were packed full of thier favourite foods.
Anyway, He's 50/50 on his analysis though but wants to be on the safe side.

Re: The Message of Hate Thread
And Tapas is now just a rip off
The whole concept of tapas was a cheap dish you get with a beer for free and it was usually a remorphed dish from leftovers but it kept people in a bar to spend more on beer.
The other day I saw a menu where chorizo and white beans in a tomato sauce were £6. How the f*** is that £6 ? They charged an extra £3 for some stale bread to go with it!
Used to work in a fish restaurant and we served prawns, squid, ceviche etc for free as snacks.

Best wishes OT. I've realised that I've "known" you for about 15 years now. That's nearly as long as I've known my wife and a lot longer than I've known my own 2 year old son . Hope all is okay!
Kindly deeds done for free!
Re: The Message of Hate Thread

Re: The Message of Hate Thread
Anxiety sleep the night before going back to work...so stupid!
Been wide awake since 2am with work stuff going round my head after being off from Good Friday until yesterday. Even though it's crap I think it's better for me to check my emails a couple of times when I'm off as then I don't get anxiety over what might be happening / what might be waiting when I open my inbox after time off.

Re: The Message of Hate Thread
Good news!
Booked in for an operation at start of May to cut it out as specialist says even if it's not a tumour, still waiting on results, but it's got to go as likely to remain a problem for the long term.
Basically having something the size of a £2 pound coin removed and should be able to walk about after a few days.
Also had to sit and take a bollocking from him about my lifestyle but happy enough to do that and promised I'll drink less beer and try some excercise
