Will just point out depending on whether Jonjo Shelvey is registered in the 25, we may have a space open in the squad for one player to come in on a free
I'll Hazard a guess

Don't forget that there's only 13 games until the January window, I can't see us panicking unless we really have to.

Very good transfer window. We now have a strong squad with plenty of depth.

First choice:
Pope
Trippier Schar Botman Targett
Willock Bruno Joelinton
Almiron Isak StMaximin
Back up:
Darlow
Krafth Lascelles Burn Lewis
Longstaff Shelvey Anderson
Murphy Wilson Fraser

Additional Backup: Gellespie, Manquillo, Dummett, Ritchie & Wood

Moving forwards I'd like to see us upgrade at RW and CM next, pushing Almiron and Willock into the back up team and therefore Murphy and Longstaff from the back up team into additional back up.

Can't see us bringing anyone in on a free. Think we essentially go through to January with only the 24 seniors. Think we have done well to shift on some of the dead wood. Just 2 more to go imo, hopefully see movement on those next window.

Seen a few times today that we were very keen on Tielemans but wages being quoted ended interest immediately, seems to be why nobody really pressed hard for him, imagine it has to be silly money he's asking for, imagine he will hold out until his contract is up next summer and look for a huge pay day.

Ross Barkley on a free. Would anyone take him on a 1 year contract? (Shelvey replacement in a way) <whistle>

I know he's stagnated but still 28 and has a couple more years at the top level, when on form he's a quality technically gifted and powerful CAM/CM, just obviously hasn't been playing regular + fitness/injury record.. worth a punt I'll say at least until Jan?

I'd rather have taken Gilmour for 8m but like you said I'd rather Anderson given his chance than be hindered, RW for me was the more pressing issue as we only have Murphy as back up.
At least at CM we have options and Barkley for me doesn't improve on what we have.

I think Barkley (injuries aside) prefers a #10 type position that we don’t really play.

But we do have a free place in the squad. Would also depend on what wages he’s asking, pay as you play wouldn’t be bad.
I'm the scumbag outlaw. You're the pillar of justice. Neither of us like looking at ourselves in the mirror. Do we have a deal?

Same outlet that first broke the Bruno bid.

Credit to the club. I don't know their international scouting and recruitment processes, but it really seems we're being aggressive to attract top young talent, after years and years of neglecting that side of the business. I'd love to learn more behind the scenes stuff about how we're going about it.

It's one of the things that excites me the most as our youth system has been dire for long periods and not just under Ashley. It's exciting times for sure.
If we pull off the signing for him and Rigg with the youngsters we've recruited already we will have some serious talent in the academy it's not just about the talent though we actually have the coaching and infrastructure in place now to nurture it <diva>

Victor Tsygankov is another name I've heard might be a loan move which might suit in terms of FFP
Bump both ourselves and West Ham really interested in January move for Tsygankov
I'll Hazard a guess

We seem to be really interested in Andrey Santos as well both mentioned in this tweet but Santos interest has been reported for a while now.

First time I've heard of the Wales link and from all accounts the Rigg one has been a done deal for a while now, we'll see how true it is in Jan.
I think with Rigg the talk seems to be he'll come because he's a Newcastle fan as is his parents but that means nothing in reality.

<laugh>
You laugh but the likes of you tube are actually used as part of scouting. Usually part of the initial process but if there is genuine interest it then moves to a professional scouting system Wyscout or Scout Pro.

If interested further then scouts go to watch players live

Also another thing Football Manager is used by many clubs too
I'll Hazard a guess

Just shows how Dennis was a pioneer and Ashley ahead of the game by appointing him <awe>

Well you wouldn't go and sign a player straight from a YouTube video but it might be part of the initial process
I'll Hazard a guess
