Firmino just took a penalty almost identical to Bruno's. With the same result. Is it a Brazilian thing?

Hah.

7 London sides in the round. The only one to get through is Charlton.

Saw it. I'd fancy England in a shootout for once...

Bruno's tweeted out a full and completely unnecessary apology, and look at the post match photo. :(

Haha it's good that he's got such high standards that he's pissed off with what he did even though we went through!
I'm the scumbag outlaw. You're the pillar of justice. Neither of us like looking at ourselves in the mirror. Do we have a deal?

Well we’re through and that’s the be all and end all of that particular fixture.
In no great order of significance my bullet points on last night….

1.Very small number of Palace fans in almost a complete sell out
2.Atmosphere quite flat and only picked up significantly with the introduction of Bruno Almiron and Trippier
3. Surprised at the changes EH made with the starting 11
4.For sixty odd minutes the game was dull as dishwater , all side to side football with neither team really getting behind the opponents defence
5. Stuck in paddock area of the MS and got a stiff neck as the game second half was mostly towards Gallogate
6. Grateful for the MS seats for the penalties
7. I think Palace generally placed less importance on last nights game than we did or certainly should be doing . We should be going all in to try and win this cup.
8. Thought ASM looked tired , loads of misplaced passers, I wonder about his future now. Seems in a huff. Other s who were leggy or poor, Longstaff, Tarhett looked shy of matches , obviously. Lascelles is still nervous with the ball at his feet. Pope very assured and a brilliant save for the first penalty.
9. Managed to get into Shearer’s bar pre match for the first time in ages , two for one cocktails and some
draft Madri helped the nights viewing.
10. Game lacked the tension of a PL game but hopefully the deeper into this competition we go the more edge comes to the game meaning.

Had a belter of a pizza in Marco Polo 🍕

That’s how I roll

My thoughts entirely, can you even get it in Spain?

Atmosphere is always a bit different for cup games as people tend to take families (I know I usually do), I'm glad I left it this time since their last game was the Burnley 0-0 last season, two on the bounce and they'll never go again...
