Re: Transfer Rumours/Wishlist
Still not sure why we didn't go for Cole Palmer in the summer when it became clear Man City were willing to listen to offers.
I heard he was one we looked at but preferred Harvey Barnes as we believed he'd be more ready for 1st team football.
In terms of Hall believe it's a non relegation clause which will be the trigger so when we are 100% safe which we technically are but not mathematically yet

I'll give him a chance and let him compete for a spot. Keep Murphy and sell Miggy.Bodacious Benny wrote: ↑Mon Mar 11, 2024 5:28 pmAnother goal from Minteh at the weekend, makes it 7 goals and 2 assists in the league this season from 19 matches (also got a CL goal).

Re: Transfer Rumours/Wishlist
Tbf before this season, Palmer hadn’t played tonnes of football whereas Barnes had (and delivered well in a relegated side) so I can see the logic. I don’t think anyone expected Palmer to do this well so soon, and if they say they did they’re probably bullshittinglassassinblanc wrote: ↑Mon Mar 11, 2024 9:18 pmStill not sure why we didn't go for Cole Palmer in the summer when it became clear Man City were willing to listen to offers.

Re: Transfer Rumours/Wishlist
We also didn't know Barnes would be injured instantly, but even in his fleeting appearances he's produced at times already.

Wonder if City have a buyback clause…

Re: Transfer Rumours/Wishlist
If Wilson goes in summer then Fofana on loan at Burnley from Chelsea could be a decent option (open goal miss aside yesterday..!). 4 goals and 1 assist in 8 games for an awful Burnley side. Only 21 too, probably won’t get much of a look in at Chelsea next season.

Re: Transfer Rumours/Wishlist
This. Good shout. My other options would be from overseas such as Jonas Wind, Artem Dovbyk, Benjamin Sesko, Evalinson, Ele Wahi and Serhou Guirassy. Also Joshua Zirke looks quality from Bologna too.. from the Prem I'll take Solanke, Hee Chan Hwang and Elijah Adebayo from Luton who looks like a handful. These are all affordable and realistic options.Bodacious Benny wrote: ↑Sun Mar 17, 2024 1:26 pmIf Wilson goes in summer then Fofana on loan at Burnley from Chelsea could be a decent option (open goal miss aside yesterday..!). 4 goals and 1 assist in 8 games for an awful Burnley side. Well there's one potential transfer target gone.
How much of a thick do you have to be to cause difficulties during a drug testing...Obviously guilty of something if he felt the need to not just piss in a bottle

I don’t think he was someone we’d have realistically looked at tbf!

Yeah, name popped up a few times over the years. One of many never have's I guess.
Agreed though, without knowing the full story - seems a bit piss poor behaviour.

Re: Transfer Rumours/Wishlist
Both are solid signings to be fair, we just need to ship out some of the dead wood like Dummett and Ritchie to make room and i think that improves the squad a fair bit.

Re: Transfer Rumours/Wishlist
Excellent bit of business if we manage to get both of them. Four strong, solid prem experienced centre backs then when botman back fit. Five/six if you include burn and lascelles. Will eventually need a younger replacement for Schar, but that can be put on the back burner for a few years with Adarabioyo as the deputy. Both class as home grown as well

Re: Transfer Rumours/Wishlist
Definitely happy and that’s the defence sorted so can use transfer funds elsewhere!
