Turned that on at the right time, screamer from Davies and a hilarious disallowed Madrid goal. Think it's approaching Jos time.

VAR checking whether he's scored 1 or he's scored 2.

VAR confirms

Inexplicably weird reffing there, why has he given such a tight offside? I'm not saying UEFA are corrupt as f***, but I can't find another way to finish this sentence.

Yeah odd one though I think ref had blown before de Ligt kicked the ball, more linesman error than ref though he could have waved on but Lunin also stopped when whistle blew and made little effort to stop the shot so who knows how he would have reacted without the whistle
I'll Hazard a guess

Sorry yes definitely the liner, but it was so close that he definitely shouldn't have flagged. Maybe it doesn't go in without the whistle, but we shouldn't have to wonder that.

I've noticed this a few times recently on tighter calls, been a couple in the premier league, not ones that lead immediately to a goal like this one but some tight calls that are given when there's at least an opportunity to play a dangerous ball.

If they are to continue with this ridiculous millimetres offsides then the automated system is the way forward. Though like I said before, personally Id rather see it decided on the naked eye via VAR, but that's unlikely to ever happen now.

Villa heading out of the conference league (ran out of steam I think) and levekrusen on the brink of losing their first game of the season.

Same, they’ve come back late so many times now. Will be the season to end all seasons.

I was thinking today after reading a BBC article about them, how awesome the feeling would be to be a Leverkusen fan atm...even more so now!

Literally once in a lifetime stuff!

I suppose the PL equivalent would be someone like Spurs going unbeaten…not one of the top sides in the league but generally around the European spots.
